UNDERSTANDING TONE IN DRAWING

Discover how to bring depth, form, and atmosphere to your artwork using light and shade! This hands-on studio workshop is designed for teenagers who want to enhance their drawing skills through a strong understanding of tone.

Through observational exercises, historical references, and discussions, students will explore:

🎨 Drawing (Pencil, Charcoal)

  • Seeing and understanding tonal values

  • Creating and working with tonal scales

  • Using tone to compose and create space

No matter your style—realistic or abstract—these essential skills will elevate your work.

 

This workshop is designed for teens in Yr 9 and above.

All materials provided.
