LIFE DRAWING TO PRINT
This is a collaborative summer workshop divided over four days, students will engage in a life drawing class exploring figurative and expressive line drawing.
Students will be encouraged to create a series of small-scale drawing studies which will be transferred into drypoint printmaking plates.
Working from initial drawings into another process will allow students to make informed improvements to their images and to create a small print edition from their drypoint plates.
A variety of mark making will be explored using different tools, materials, and line repetition through to good inking techniques.
Students will work no bigger than A3 to A4, so that there is room to enlarge aspects of their drawings or to reduce to fit the drypoint plate size.
Please note:
Most printmaking materials will be provided although
plexi plate, drypoint needles, drawing and print making paper will be available to purchase on the day.
